Delhi Opens Heart to The Youngest Ever Cabinet

Arvind Kejriwal was sworn in as Delhi's CM by Lt. Governor Najeeb Jung, along with six cabinet ministers on the valentine day today. After taking the oath to office and secrecy, he gave a humble speech where he admitted arrogance to be the reason behind AAP's debacle in 2014 Lok Sabha elections. He expressed firm determination to eradicate corruption from Delhi in the next five years of his tenure, which begins from today, 14th Feb, 2014. He also sought the support of Kiran Bedi and Ajay Maken, in improving the state. The new look Delhi cabinet could well be termed as the youngest in the country with the average age of 37 years.

Delhi cabinet ministers and their portfolios are as follows:

Manish Sisodia (Age 43): Deputy CM of Delhi, Finance & planning, education, UD, revenue & any other department that is not allocated to any Minister

Sandeep Kumar (Age 34): Ministry of Women and child social welfare, language, SC/ST

Gopal Rai:  Transport, development, labor, general administration department and employment

Asim Ahmed Khan (Age 38):  Food and civil supply , environment and forest, and election departments

Jitender Singh Tomar (Age 48): Law and justice, home, tourism, art and culture

Satyendar Jain (Age 50):  Power ministry, health, industries, PWD and IFC

Arvind Kejriwal (Age 46): The CM himself will not hold any portfolio. He will instead serve three main tasks besides serving the roles and responsibilities of his CM post:

  1. To make the Ministry work effectively and supervise their work 
  2. To make changes in system making use of modern technologies and 
  3. To connect directly to the people of Delhi
