With Coronavirus spreading like wildfire, the entire world has come to a standstill. Big MNCs and even Public sectors are asking their workers to work from home. For bloggers like me, it is a regular affair but the same does not hold for regular office goers. So, what is keeping you busy at home? Do you work online throughout the day or get distracted by social media?
Moreover, if you have no official work at all and have not received any 'work from home' instruction either, so what is your schedule? Do you engage yourself in the household works? It is great if you do that, but still you will have much time left. Well! Writing is one interesting stuff you could do to avert the monotony and who knows, it could help to you discover the so far hidden talent.
So, what to write?
That's up to you. Anything that appeals your heart, enthralls your senses and attracts your mind is worthy to be written. Most of the times, I do not know what to write. I simply open my MS Office and start typing at random, like am doing right now. A worthy topic hatches out in some time itself. You could do the same. From jotting down your experience about your day in the office@home to describing your gardening habits, writing about a recipe that you know, to how it feels spending time with family, you could write almost anything. Even an interesting poem would be great to start with, in a language of your choice.
Writing that clicks with the audience
Merely writing is sufficient if you want to do it to utilize your time. But you might also want others to go through your creation and admire it. In any such case, remember to have a gripping intro, informative body, and satisfying end. These three ingredients are a must to cook an impactful story or even a DIY blog. It’s never necessary to add decorative words to your work, keep it simple and readable instead. Your audience will come to your gradually but definitely.
Where to post your writings?
With social media all around, it is easy to spread the scoop about your talent among your potential readers. You can post it on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, or even Twitter, depending on the length and subject of your content. Even better would be to create your own blog on WordPress, Blogger, Weebly, Wix or any other platform you like (You can Google search to know more about them). Don't worry, the blog creation is an easy process and does not require you to pay anything. As you finish writing the draft and publish it, copy the link and share it on your social media profiles.
That's it. Your journey to become a seasoned writer starts with your first write-up. It all depends on your choice, whether to carry forward this habit or put the curtains down. Nevertheless, the ongoing time is indeed the best to help you embark on a thoughtful journey. It will also help to stop you from going outside, which is indeed suicidal due to the Corona outbreak. Happy Writing anyways!
